Our city just got it's first (that I know of) hibachi buffet.  Man, I was in heaven.  Except when I noticed that I could feel the raw meat juice on my hands after handling the tongs.  That skeeved me and made me wonder how this could be acceptable to the health department.  It was tasty, though.

    Are you talking about Mongolian BBQ? Where you pick out all the stuff and they guy stir fries it for you?

    I don't think she's talking about Mongolian BBQ. I don't recall touching raw meat or anything that would have juice from raw meat on them a a Mongolian BBQ.

    This was an actual buffet with raw meats - steak, pork, chicken, shrimp - and you put whatever you wanted on your plate along with veggies, rice, egg, etc, and walked right up to the hibachi and give the guy your plate to fry up.  It was pretty awesome.

    They also had normal buffet food as well as a sushi buffet.

    I've never been to a Mongolian BBQ, so I'm not really any help here.

    That's pretty much what the Mongolian BBQ place near us is like.  I love going there, but I also am always a little apprehensive about just how sanitary it is.
