Wedding Woes

~Taw~

Nico "had pneumonia" when she was supposed to meet me, too. You're not the only one snubbed by Mrs. Leg.

I'm just giving you a hard time, Nico. I know how sick you were and I'd rather you take care of yourself.

Speaking of... how have the shots been for DD? And how are you feeling?

DD is much better.  The bad part of the shots = heinous diaper rash.  Consider yourself warned if you kid ever gets them.  It was so bad Saturday she'd scream if she sat or fell down.  She was Nakey Baby most of yesterday and that helped tremendously.

I, however, am still hacking up my lungs.  And H came down with a nasty cold something at the end of last week.  His fever finally broke last night.  I'm just ready to be healthy.

Poor L.  I cringe just thinking about how bad that must have hurt her.  That had to have been miserable for all of you.  I'm glad her butt is better.

Ugh. I hope the Leg family as a whole gets better. This is no fun for any of you.

    Poor baby and poor Mommaleg.

Back when I was in nursing school and worked on a Peds unit, the nurses made up a diaper rash cream for all the kiddos on antibiotics there, it was desitin, maalox and cornstarch in equal amounts.

I don't know why it worked so well, but it did. It stayed on better and seemed to make the kiddos feel better. We used it on my niece when she had some bad rashes as a babe too.

My sister swears by the Maalox mix.  I use Pinxav which is pretty much the same thing.  Works great, but antibiotic rash is a third circle of hell.

I've been alternating A&D and Desitin and cornstarch powder.  But nothing is as good as kitchen naked time with splashes in and out of the inflatable pool and aloe applications on your butt.  She had so much fun rearranging the cabinets, making goldfish and pretzel "soup," and playing in the pool.  She also spent a fair amount of time holding toys up to the door for Gracie and Bailey to see "dis" and "dis."
