feckers - medical bills

Somehow, we are suddenly drowning in medical bills. Quantity-wise more than amount-wise, but geez it is a PITA.

Extra special:
Dex's ENT billed our new insurance instead of our old insurance. Both were valid at the time, but the old insurance was better, so now I have to call them. I don't even know if I still have our old insurance information anywhere, though it should be in their files, since that's the card I gave them when we went to the doctor.

One of the crazycakes docs I went to last year *just* sent me a bill for $152. For a JUNE 30 appointment date. Something is definitely wrong with that. It should be $30, which I'm pretty sure I paid on site. And if I *did* owe them money, they should have billed me a long damn time ago.

Another place keeps sending me bills. When I went for my last appointment, I asked to pay the balance and they said there was no balance. Grrr.

Have I mentioned how much I hate talking on the phone? Like, I procrastinated ALL DAY yesterday on one of those phone calls.

Compounding the issue is that H is holding last year's medical bills file folder hostage, on the pretense that he is going to file the FSA claims. Suuuure. I will be royally pissed if he drops that in my lap the day before the claims are due.

Re: feckers - medical bills

  • Oh how I feel your pain.

We got a bill for DH's trip to Urgent Care.  I almost want to just pay it and be done instead of going in with my card and working it out.  Not that I have a card.

Yes, at least we have/had cards. Your plight does make me appreciate that, at least.
