  • Maybe you should actually talk to your mother about how you feel.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
  • My mom moved to Cali about 10 years ago.  I live in NYC.  My FI is originally from LI.  My dad still lives in CT.  We made the decision to get married in LI, his family is larger, he wanted to get married in a church and if possible his church that he grew up in.  My mom was disappointed that I wasn't having it in California or at LEAST CT.  I have no real connection where I grew up anymore.  My parents got divorced when I graduated from college basically so it's weird.

I think it is what is best for BOTH of you.  If you both want to get married in Md, then you should.  Of course you should also have a conversation with your mom so she doesn't feel slighted/left out.  A big question is: who is going to pay for the wedding?
