Wedding Woes

*V- omg.

:::adding to my list of reasons to never get a dog:::

from a post on a bump board-

Occassionally we'll pull out the fridge and stove and sweep under them.  There is always SO MUCH dog hair!

There's a whole cat under my fridge.
Or at least enough fur to make one.
(and we DO clean under it)

Yep.  It's just a part of life with animals.  Lately, I've been shedding more than they have.  When I moved the end table to vacuum, there was a mini rug of MY hair under it.  Disgusting.

Yeah.  This time of year is INSANE.  I can fill up a vacuum bag of hair each week.

[QUOTE]cleaning up animal hair is part of what life is like with a pet. the hair is no big deal, but i have a short hair dog and he sheds very little. the random vomit spots are much worse.

oy. Yeah, vomit spots do sound worse. :-/

Get a short-haired dachshund.  They lose some hair, but not much.  And it's not really fur, so no tumbleweeds under the fridge.

the hair doesn't bother me - we have to sweep pretty often or there will be little fur tumbleweeds rolling around.

I'm with Zilla - the worst is the vomit or diarrhea - but we try to keep the dogs out of the carpeted rooms in our house - so at least cleanup is easier if they are sick. It's rare, but I guess no worse than having a kid.

I have been the primary care giver to three dogs over the past five years and I have never had to deal with doggy diarrhea.

<div>You are insanely lucky. Wiggles had one very bad night when he was about a year old. He was sleeping in his (airline approved) crate, and was bothering us so we moved it out of our room. We woke up to the smell at 2am. I bathed him in our bathtub while DH cleaned the crate and the carpet. It was winter, and cold out, so he needed to be dry before he went out. I was drying him in the bathroom when he had his 2nd accident. It scared him, so he spun around while he was going. He was terrified we were going to yell at him. I just plopped him back in the tub for bath # 2 while DH cleaned the bathroom. Got him dried, and DH took him out at around 3:30am. We put the crate in the kitchen that night, and came down to another (smaller) mess in the am. He got bath #3 while DH cleaned up. </div><div>
