Wedding Woes

AW: I forgot the best part of my weekend!

DefConn has been a standing fool and he always looks so adorably proud when he stands up on his own.  When we got home from the store yesterday, he walked down our whole front walk just holdig DH's hand.

AND, he took three whole, unassisted, steps!  :)

Plusalso, we have the lever type of door handles and he's just about mastered those.  We're going to be purchasing some more baby-proofing stuff this coming weekend.

  • Yay!

(And I was just saying to DH this morning that I wish DD had never learned to open doors.   Her favorite thing in the world, for 2 years now, is to open and close doors.   Never gets old to her.   But I am WAY over it.)
  • Isn't it weird what kids like?  Mom said if she ever couldn't find me in the house, she knew to go look in the wingback chair next to the light switch.  I was obsessed with turning the lights on and off.  They have multiple pictures of me standing in the chair with my hand on the switch.
  • I bet doing things like that gives kids a sense of control and purpose over their environment. I mean, there is only so much they can do.

I was watching Niel Patrick Harris and his partner on Oprah's and he was saying about a week after they installed all of the baby proofing, their son had figured out how to open the fridge. Ha!
