Wedding Woes

FB question

My MIL took my pics of Matthew and posted them on her wall.  Is there a way to keep her from doing that?  I have the settings to show only friends, but I never thoguht she'd just take them.

Also, her friends are now trying to friend me.  I'm guessing it's to see the pics.  Maybe I should just let her take the pics.  Boo, maybe I should just chalk my FB life up to short lived and stop.

Can't you make entire albums viewable to only certain people? Or, is there a way to keep people from right clicking and downloading your pictures?

She's a proud grandma though, so you may just have to block her all together.

I can't even figure out what she's done.  My album appears on her wall, but if you click it it goes to my page.  I have the album set so that only my friends can view it and not friends of friends.  Maybe I should change the album settings so her friends can see too.

She probably went to your album and clicked Share this Album - though I think when you do that, the pictures still only show up to the people you have specified.  So only your mutual friends will see it on her wall.

Oh how I wish heffa.  She's addicted to all of the stupid games.  She brings her laptop here so she can play.

Arb- I was wondering if it still kept the same security settings that only my friends could see.  If so, then what's the point of her sharing.

There's no point really.  My guess is that she was unaware of your privacy settings, or she thought that if she shared them on her page thinking that it would then share with just her friends also.

That's one of the major reasons why I don't post a lot of photos of DD on FB or email a ton of them.  And why I don't have a blog.

H is dying for me to start a blog so his gparents stop harassing him for photos/updates, but FFS these people don't understand boundaries.  MIL asks all of the time, "So, what's DD doing RIGHTNOW?!?!"  Um, being a baby.  There comes a point where we have to be our own family and preserve some memories we have for just us.  Don't they remember what it was like before the internet?  You got photos of the kids 1-2x/year.  Now, if something's not sent on a weekly basis they lose their lids.

MIL was all butthurt that we didn't tell her and send photos when DD got her bottom teeth.  Listen, lady.  I'm busy raising this teething child and I'm not going to wrangle her down to take a picture to send to you.  Sometime, between now and 5 y.o., she's going to have teeth - learn to live with that knowledge.

It's a touchy subject for me.

Ha Nico.  MIL does the same thing "How did my boy sleep last night?  Did he nap okay?  How's he eating?"  He sleeps fine and eats better than you.  Piss off.

She can always right click on your photos and save them, meaning she can do whatever she wants with them. I'm not sure how to disable right clicking on photos, but I know you can.

MIL does this with interwebs photos, right-clicks and saves them.  And then prints them out.  At low res.  On plain paper.  Using an inkjet printer.  (Not a photo printer, just the kind you would use to print out a spreadsheet or whatever.)  And then frames them.  They look very klassy.

I've seen Nico's DD's bottom teeth - IRL. Suck off, stupid relatives ;)
