Wedding Woes

IHO hmo's friend post

How many of you have had toxic friends?

::raises hand::

She is in OC (last I knew). I fear that I will run into her when I go back to see my mom.

    I have toxic family members, not friends.  Which is why I suppose my friend list is so short.

    Oh hells yes.

    Actually, my BFF would not longer be my friend if I hadn't moved.  We get along soooo well as long as there is distance.  But I have a string of toxins going back to elementary school.

    I'm with Busy - this kind of thing only ever happens with people I didn't choose to be around.

    Not really since HS.  But those count as 'don't get to choose' either, IMO

    I miss Ruth.

    Yes, ex-BFF started becoming toxic towards the end- which kind of put the final nail in the coffin.

    Most of them were until BFF. I was working out my mother issues.

    One in high school, one in college. High school one shared a lot of mutual friends, so I occasionally hear about her life through fb. College one dropped off the face of the earth. Fine with me.

    af, you may get your wish.  we're having girls' weekend in october (aka rocktober), and it's everyone but ruth.  one person keeps in touch with her (even on fb) and we will probably grill her for updates.

    hmo - I hope Ruth doesn't catch wind of rocktober!   Or do I hope she does?   Looking forward to the drama.

    Nope. They were all left with my 20's.
