Grandma's funeral was Saturday. As we drove into the small town cemetery, I noticed a gravestone right next to the road that said [Uncle] E. [Lastname]. I was like, "WTH? Is there another [Uncle] in town?"
When we got around it, I looked back and saw that it said, "Brother of [My mom] and [Crazy Aunt]."
All of us (my dad, Little Sis, Bro, & SIL) were like, "Holy crap."
My uncle has a traumatic head injury. He's almost 50 and aside from his head injury, is healthy as a horse. Regardless, my Grandma (Satan) has been saying for years that he's "failing." *eyeroll*
This gravestone was in the direct line of sight for everyone heading in to the cemetery. Bro was like, "DON'T TELL HIM!" He'd freak out if he saw it.
Mom went and talked to my grandpa about it yesterday and he said that Grandma had insisted on getting it late last year, but didn't know why.
At least it doesn't have a death date on it.
