Wedding Woes

so ya know the 'cape' that I got Buffy that I was thinking was probably a waste but was to cute?

definately a waste.
She won't wear it--noplace to put her arms through and so she melted down over it twice and now runs if I touch it.
Maybe next year :-P

Was it the one from The Gap?   What size is it?  Maybe I'll buy it from you....  :)
I can imagine that the no armholes thing might seem like a straight jacket to a child of a certain age.  DD loves her cape now that she's used to the little "hand"-holes and isn't trying to put her whole arm through it.

  • it is the one from the gap--it's a 3T so a little to big for her anyhow (although, it's a cape.  It's not like they have strict sizings :-P)

    It's white and kinda plaid.
And yeah, she treated it like a kiddy straightjacket.  she loved the one she had (which, i realize now DID have arm holes) last winter--but it is way to small.
  • I remember that cape well.  It had a very mod 1960's London vibe to it.   Too bad it's too small for my DD.  :)
But you're right, maybe next year she'll wear it because she'll be able to handle the no arm hole thing.
  • yeah, 3 year olds are significantly  more reasonable than 2 year olds, right?  *crickets * :)

I only spent $10 or so  on it (got it 2nd hand) so, if it doesn't work, it wasn't a great loss.  But I was hoping she'd lurve it.  Instead she's addicted to a pink zebra-stripe hoodie that's almost to small for her.  But I don't fight her on what she wears if I can avoid it.
