Wedding Woes

Laundry woes

-MIL bought M2 some clothes at a second hand shop.  She washed them so they reeked of ML.  I've put them through 2 times and they still stink.  They may just get tossed.

- I just noticed my sheets are torn.  How does that happen?  I'm blaming the cat.

I think my sheets get caught under the spinner thing in the washer sometimes when I get lazy and overload.

can you soak the clothes in a oxyclean or the like as a pre-wash?

I blame cats for the sheets, no doubt.

    V- I have a front load

G- I don't have any presoak stuff and I'm not buying it for $1 worth of Walmart second hand clothing.  That's not me being snotty.  MIL paid $1 for 4 pieces of Faded Glory.  I usually appreciate it, but this smell is killing me and will terrorize DH's sinuses.

    That sucks.

I hate it when I have to replace sheets.  I have a hard time finding sheets with deep enough pockets for our bed so they don't come off.

understandable--I have oxy for diapers only.
(and that's highly over-priced for used wal-mart stuff.  Sheesh, I can get it for almost that new.)

We have two sets of sheets from our wedding I've never opened.  Here's hoping they work!

I know GB.  She bought 18 month stuff "for the fall."  Consensus is I have midget kids so maybe next fall.

I second the ocy clean suggestion. It's what I used when I cleaned the pug rescue director's house.

Our sheets ripped, too. And we don't have a cat.

One time our sheets got ripped up because DH's toenails are sharp and pointy.   I admit that I screamed at him for that.  After that he has been very good about keeping them less sharp and pointy.

Yes, just throw the clothes away.   Not worth it.   An old coworker gave me a bunch of clothes that were washed with fabric softener.   I washed them three or four times and they still felt funny to me so I just pitched them.   I get contact dermatitis from fabric softener and also can't stand how things feel like they have a coating on them.   Ick.
