Is this a real thing?

Hiring someone to plan your baby?

I'm getting old and cranky because this makes me want to slap someone.

This is becoming a thing because of that stupid Rosie Pope lady her and her maternity 'concierge' that got a TV show.

ETA: I agree about it making you stabby.  This type ofshit is for people who can't find their ass with their own two hands.

It wouldn't surprise me.  People are too rich and too dumb.

Rich people just can't do anything for themselves.

    This makes me stabby:

We contacted Perfecting Expecting in anticipation of our grandchild, and we are SO thrilled with what they could do for us. With their guidance, we stocked "grandma's house" and picked super gifts that weren't on my son's registry. We feel more prepared than ever!

Oh good grief.  Why do people get a thrill at buying an off-registy gift?  Grandma, if you know so much better why did you have to hire a damn consultant to buy a gift?  That cash may have been much better served in a college fund.

[QUOTE]zsazsa, why save superfluous money for college when you can wipe your butt with it instead?

    LOL!

I would love call up one of these places and ask how to make baby wipes out of $100 bills because I just have too many sitting around not doing anything.

In the 'who we are' section: "We have heard so many people exclaim, "With all of these wedding planners, why aren't there baby planners?!" We are thrilled to say, "Here we are."

I googled it because SDIL posted a link to her friend's new similar business on FB.  I didn't want to post her business because it was a little too close to home.  I've met SDIL's friend before.  She has no children and I'm pretty sure she is a bartender with a closet full of Great Glam.

Then she's PERFECT for this job.  It's the blind leading the very rich blind that will throw their money at any 'service' that seems upscale and on thisside of snooty.

As a former nanny for the very wealthy I have to say that as frivolous as it is, I know many families who could have benefitted from baby education, daddy prep, and life with baby. Most of the rich never babysat or took care of younger siblings. They are so clueless about child development. If this is the only way they are going to get the info they need, then I hope its a successful business.
