Wedding Woes

Menu input (since I'm in party mode)

It's at 1 pm on Sunday for family, but I know ils will be here by noon.  25ish people that will hang around till 6-7.

I'm pretty set of a main of chicken and noodles (it has peas and carrots in it) with mashed potatoes.  I know carb overload, but we like our noodles over potatoes.  I'll add a tossed salad.

Apps- I thought a big tray of veggies, crackers, and bread with a traditional dip and shrimp dip.  I was also thinking deviled eggs.  I know the ILs will eat them.

Dessert- ice cream cone cupcakes and ice cream.

I have a couple of cheese balls and Chex mix for evening munching.

We prefer fruit trays to veggie trays. They just go faster/better.  But yeah, still carbs. :)

And I would eat deviled eggs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I could. Seriously, it's one of those things where H and I need to make an extra effort to be polite at parties and leave some for other people.  I'd make a lot of them. (protip: ziploc bag as filling dispenser. Before that, I would only eat them if someone else made them & cleaned up.)

Cool.  I could do some fruit, I just never think about it because I don't like it.

I love deviled eggs too so I'll have to do a couple dozen.

Shut up. Sounds awesome.  We usually do sprinkle bacon pieces on top of some of them. (SIL is vegetarian, so we save some plain ones for her.) But I will have to check that one out.

And 6 - 2 dozen for 25-26 people for 6 hours?  Even if you mean 2 dozen eggs = 4 dozen halves, that's only 2 deviled eggs per person. Doesn't 'save too many for you to gorge on later.  :)

I have them up on my blog, they included cheese, I'd go with a little blue cheese if you swing that way, but just straight bacon is a neccesity.
