To answer your question below, no. He is concentrating on community colleges, because his real passion is teaching. I am the researcher

He is leaning towards turning down the interview because he heard it is really difficult to get a job there (he is thinking about me) and they only pay part of the travel costs. We both have incurred some medical debt with all of this infertility testing and he doesn't want to add to that. I think he should go for the experience and I think it would help boost his self-esteem. (Not that his self-esteem is suffering, it's just discouraging to only get a few offers when you only have one time during the year to apply.)
He has to decide today. I said it was up to him.
(Also, he has an assholio uncle that lives about 30 minutes from there that he hates. He mentioned it. I said there is no way in he11 that he should that affect his decision making and he said it wasn't. I said it must be weighing in at some level if he even mentioned it.)
