SIL that is getting married got a phone call from MIL last week. MIL was upset that x person had not gotten an invite yet, and was she invited?

Nope.  MIL then went on that "traditionally you invite your parent's friends, and your friend's parents...blah blah blah".

SIL's response was awesome.  "Well Mom, traditionally the Bride's parents also pay for the wedding, but that's not happening".

Shut MIL right up.

I nearly hugged SIL when she told me that.
