1) When we were working in our yard this weekend, our landlord/neighbor came over to talk to us. He asked if we would like a concrete walkway put in on our side of the house. This would be tres awesome, as I twist my ankle nearly every time I take the trashcan to the curb. I like that he has an interest in fixing up the place.
2) Yard related: we have it all set up now, so all we have to do is weed/mow in the front. The hydrangeas require little maintenance, and they are beautiful. The hastas, tulips and shrubs are all on auto-pilot and look great when the bloom.
3) We are going to weed the back this weekend. We are going to plan the garden then. We are going to plant jalepenos, potatos, tomatos, peppers, zuchinni and squash, for sure. I love the summer and growing our own food. I can't wait until we have a house of our own and a proper yard so we can get some really nice beds established and do things like asparagus.
4) H took really good care of me before and after my IVP. He put up with me being a grumblecakes while my meds did their jobs, beforehand. And then afterwards, he had a water waiting for me (I was SUPER thirsty) and took me to eat and made me whatever I wanted all weekend. I really am a lucky gal.
5) I think Woody is going to be with us for a while. No one has asked about him. There was one family that showed an interest in him at the event this weekend. But, they have had two pugs before and both are no longer with them. One "got out" and the other met an early, untimely demise. I don't trust them to have another dog. They WILL NOT get Woody.
6) I am going to be out of the office tomorrow. We are going to a Indian reservation for a meeting. The woman hosting it is going to make us her tribe's food for lunch. I am SO excited.
