While I'm here (gardening-not the lady type-help)

I have a thorny bush in my backyard and want it gone. Any tips on how to remove this MF without calling someone out to do it? I was thinknig some heavy duty gloves, long sleeves, and sawzall, but I get lost on how to bundle it for disposal.

I was also thinking a controlled burn, but this thing is right against the house. I don't want to have to explain anything to the fire marshal.

I throw thorny bush clippings outside my fence at the place where the neighborhood kids try to hop over.

Most of our bush/small tree removal inolves tying a chain around a truck hitch, dropping it to 4 wd and yanking.  Then you load into the truck and drive to the woods.

You can get special gloves that go all the way up to your elbows that are intended for just this type of use. I recommend those and this...

i'm going to second the heavy duty gloves and hedge trimmer/chainsaw depending on size/thickness of the bush

When I chopped down the cactus in my front yard I used rubber gloves, long handled loppers and a cheap pair of kitchen tongs from the dollar store.  I chopped one little chunk at a time, then picked up the pieces with the tongs and tossed them in the trash barrel. 

If your trash pick up is in bag, double or triple bag it. 

If you aren't supposed to put organic waste in your trash pick-up, then I don't know what to tell you.  Take it on a drive to an enemy's house.

be sure you dig deep and get the roots.  you don't want to dig it up and then have it re-grow.
