My parents added a rider to their homeowner's insurance for that day for the venue.

Honestly, I don't remember a thing about it, just that the venue required it.

    Super helpful, I know.

i think she means one of those policies in the event of theft, or vendor troubles, or death in the family to recoup money if there's a cancellation of some sort.

i think whichever one the knot advertises should be fine, but i never took insurance. it's one of those things you don't need until you need it. i think it's good for people who might deploy or teachers who might have to change plans if there's an extention on the school year, but maybe i'm confusing that with trip insurance.

anyway, good luck. i'm just as helpful as taw.

  • I was also thinking of wedding insurance because I am having a winter wedding and Canada can just get pummelled with snow at any time in January, but we are also doing what tawillers mentioned with the home insurance, so I might not need additional insurance.
