Wedding Woes

second chance?

how is this a good thing?  there are more than four men in the damn world.

Dear Amy: I know you like to share "second chance" stories.

Here's mine: My husband and I split up over the "other woman."

The two of them ran off and borrowed a car from a friend. What they did not know was that the car had been used to steal parking meters. The car was spotted by police and the two of them were arrested.

I got a call from my husband in jail and bailed him out.

When I asked him where I could drop him off, he said, "Home, with you." I asked if he was sure and he told me he was positive.

The kids who had burgled the meters confessed and all charges were dropped.

That was 40 years ago, and we are still together. Was that my second chance or his?

Ugh. Sharing "second chance" stories seems like a bad idea. For every person who actually deserves a second chance, there are about 1000 who don't, and close to 1000 spurned partners who are in denial and looking for reasons to give it to them.

    barf.

So wait, her husband got caught fcking another woman in a stolen car and she went to bail him out? He'll to the no. And where in this story does she see a second chance for herself? More like a wasted life.

Well, if he wants her, that's all that matters.  Wimmens don't need to be thinking about what they want and what's good for them.
