It's been 6 mos. today since A passed...and some awesome things have happened since...
1. The organization that she went to for group therapy and also did a LOT of charity work for dedicated it's young adults group to her. It's now going to be called "A's Group" forever.
2. The local alumni assn. for the college she went to re-named their scholarship that she won twice while in college for her.
3. The German program from our HS started a scholarship in her honor so that every other year a student who wants to do the German exchange program can be sponsored. They're holding a golf tournament on May 2nd to kick off fundraising.
I'm sad that she's gone, but man, she packed so much into her short life and the legacy she's left behind just leaves me in awe of her still. I'm so grateful she was a part of my life for the time we had.
