Also, I'm annoyed

I'm a bit miffed about this whole procedure anyway.

Stupid office STILL hasn't called me to tell me yay/nay, thanks for trying, whatev.

I had to e-mail the guy in charge on Tuesday to say thank you.  He e-mails back, says everyone should be contacted by end of the day.  I finally e-mailed today, aplologized for bothering him, and asked it the position was still under consideration.  He said it had been filled and {name} was suppose to be calling everyone, sorry.  She STILL hasn't called.

It's just rude.  Now I'm getting pissy.

*stropping*

Would you really want to work for someone who is that rude?  Or disgregards people?

Build a bridge, already.  When hiring, I never do call backs after the position has been filled.  And I tell people that.  I say, "We will contact you only if we have decided to hire you as an employee."  Of course, we always have people that call about the position and I'm not a punk to them -- I just tell them the job has been filled.

I still think it's rude to tell someone you'll get back to them and then not do it.  The job search process is so fraught, it seems unfair to lead people to expect something and then blow them off.  I know it happens all the time.

But you set the expectation up front.

This guy said that someone would get back to V.  I can see how that's freaking frustrating and it would piss me off.
