Name your favorite snack foods

I have a craving for something and my usuals aren't satisfying it.*

Usually I'm a cheese, crackers, chocolate.  I've tried cheese and chocolate.  And wine.  No crackers yet.  Maybe it's ice cream?

Anyway, go!





*I do not need to POAS.  Am not currently pregnant.

  • Peanut butter on apples has been my go to lately.
  • I'm all about yogurt mixed with almond butter, some cereal and almonds on top.  OR, apples with pb.  OR candy.  :)

  • Soft pretzels have been my salty snack lately.
  • I am hot on cottage cheese and fruit right now. And these almonds we got at the farmers market, they are mexican hot chocolate flavored. And chocolate. Especially the chocolate frosted flakes I grabbed a couple of weeks ago. Sweet, crunchy and cold.
  • Peanut butter with wheat thins or DD's cheddar bunnies. Unless it's the stress explosion that it's been recently, then it's cookies and cream Halloween sized Hershey bars.

  • Ice Cream is by far my favorite, but if you want healthy/things that won't make you feel like crap, here's my go to list:

    Chewy Granola Bars (reduced sugar)
    Nature Valley Peanut Bars
    Chobani Greek Yogurt (Black Cherry is my fave - I swear this is almost as good as ice cream)
    Cheese
    Cheese/Crackers
    Graham Crackers with Peanut Butter or Nutella
    Hummos and multigrain crackers or pita chips
    Apples
    Grapes
    Popcorn (i usually go for movie theater butter style, but there is an Orville Reddenbacher's cracked black pepper flavor that I love, too.)
    Chocolate Covered Pretzels (ok - these are not healthy in any way)
  • I don't really care if it's healthy or not, I just need to get rid of this bottomless pit I"m turning into trying to figure it out.

    I'm going to try that Black Cherry yogurt and a good soft pretzel.  Not necessarily together.  

    I know it's not carbs, b/c I just had pasta for lunch and that didn't do it.  Grrr.
  • You need protein.   The yogurt will help a ton.

  • Oh yeah, Fage yogurts with the fruit toppings are a go to forme right now too, I may eat 2 of those a day, my favorite is the cherry pomegranate.
  • Chips, salsa, guac. 

    Savory crackers from TJ"s, salami (or summer sausage) and an extra sharp chddar
  • I LOVE the black cherry greek yogurt.  I also like to dip nilla wafers in it.

    I have a little cheese dip I've been dipping the soft pretzels in. mmmmmm
  • I have been eating a lot of apples and peanut butter lately.  But if I feeling completely unhealthy I hit the sour cream & onion Pringles and Twizzlers cherry bites.  I probably shouldn't have even typed those words because I am really hungry right now and have car keys burning a hole in my pocket.
