I don't know what non flash means.  I'm just curious if you walk with or against the flow of traffic. 

My cross country coach always said you should be able to see the license plate of the car that hits you.  It seems most people around here walk with traffic though.

You're supposed to walk against traffic and bike with traffic. People in Charlotte get this wrong all. the time.

FTR, in FL, you won't see the license plate that hits you b/c we only have rear plates.

But when they're headed toward your face, rather than sneaking up behind you, it's easier to dive out of the way AND hit the car in such a way to leave identifying marks--
