COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — A 30-year-old Council Bluffs man is being held on a robbery charge after being punched and held for police by a pharmacy owner.
Authorities say Donald A. White was arrested Wednesday at Union Pharmacy. Police say White had used a box cutter to threaten Bill Shipley while demanding a powerful painkiller.
Shipley says he surprised himself and White by punching White, then holding him down for police.
Shipley said, "you don't have time to deal with this stuff. It just makes you mad."
White also is suspected of stealing a pickup earlier Wednesday across the Missouri River in Omaha, Neb.
