Wedding Woes

*min*

I really want to know what you said about Girls.  Do you remember?

I hope the knut isn't hungry and eats this post too.

Re: *min*

  • I am all caught up.

The best part of Sunday's episode was when Hannah was going to get money from Adam's drawer.

    H:  You only have hundreds.

    A:  Fuuuuck!
  • "I need a $20 for cab fare.  No wait, I need $30 because I'm hungry and I want pizza."  HEE!

My favorite scene was definitely when Jessa caugh Shoshanna peeking.  I love Shoshanna.  She's my favorite character.
  • Pizza AND gum.

Also, it's really weird to see the dad from License to Drive in the role he's in now.
  • Oh yeah, I forgot about the gum.

I've never seen license to drive.  Which character are you talking about?

YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN LICENSE TO DRIVE?!?!?!  YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095519/

The dad on the movie is the tittie grabbing boss.

  • Shoshanna - there needs to be more of her. I think it was mean of Jessa to call her names when she is so terrified of (never having) sex.

Jessa - I like her the least. I get that she is supposed to be all chic and bohemian, but I just see her as aimless and not really knowing herself.

Marnie - I was surprised that she broke up with him. I think if he hadn't dumped her she would have never done it. She is scared to be alone and I think she was only with him because he was there.

Hanna - Ha at the $30 because I want pizza and gum. That scene with Adam was really telling because in that context, when she was in control, what did she have him say? "I'm sorry."

I think that's how Jessa's supposed to be...especially aimless.   Marnie sees through her BS, but Hannah and Shoshana idolize her.   Jessa's rude to Shosh because she wants to see how far she can push her, but I also think she's in awe of her innocence.  I've known a few people like that.

I loved the scene between Hannah and Adam.  The interaction was priceless.
  • I get her aimlessness, but I don't think Jessa knows how much she doesn't know herself. Like, she probably feels like her self has more definition than it does. I think Shoshanna is the only character with any self insight.

  • I agree.   Shoshana's been observing and internalizing far more than she's been living, so she definitely knows herself way better than the other three.   Which will serve her far better down the line.  :)
  • I also laughed when Adam was all, "Everything bad happens to you."

YES!  And when Hannah said, "I hate everyone who loves me."
