    to late.
I was tol old and I was already +
  • I don't know if I have it or not actually.  I keep intending to ask at the OB, but wouldn't they have tested for that at some point?  I have had an STD panel before, but not for a few years now.  I'll have to ask at my yearly coming up.

I was vaccinated against Hepatitis A in college, but I think the efficacy of that is over.

They never tested me for it V, until I had an abnormal pap.
And then it was just "oh, you probably have had this for a while, mostly it does nothing--unless it does something"
They never screened the Mr. for it either.
  • Never been tested, unless they ran it two weeks ago when they did the STD panel at my first appt which I told them I didn't need seeing how our only sexual partners are each other.

  • I've had at least 2 abnormals in my life.  I'll just have to ask.  Surely it's been run.
  • I tried to when it was in phase 3 testing. Alas, I was too old for their inclusion criteria. I was old enough to be considered infected snatch. Now, just doesn't seem to be a point.

  • I was just on the cusp of being too old when it came out.  I had to aggressively persue it since most doctors hadn't heard of it, and pay for it out of pocket because insurance companies were afraid of offending crazypeople.

It was totes worth it though.

  • If you've had an abnormal pap in the last 10 years or so, you've likely been tested.

The recomendations for when you need a Pap has changed, now in your thirties, if you have a normal pap and are HPV negative you can go every 5 years, so I was tested in DEc of 2011 and was positive, but had a normal pap. Just had another pap and screen 2 ees ago and everything was negtive, so I cleared it on my own. Was also too old when it came out.

Even having had past irregulars and testing +, I"m allowed every 3 yeras instead of yearly now.
    YAY!
Although I'm still under orders to come in and be a hand puppet.
  • I was tested for it as it's now part of a pap, came up postive (for one of the cancer causing ones), but every pap I've had since then has come up negative.
  • HPV free, have the vaccine just in case
  • I started the Gardasil series right as I turned 26, so it was covered by my insurance. I've tried to convince my fiance to get it, as he's 25 now, but he's having none of it.

  • I was too old, though I tested negative for it.
