Wedding Woes

since I sent off that resume, I'm compulsively checking my 'job hunt' e-mail

other than the automated 'we got it', I've heard nothing.  It's been like 2 days, so I should stop.

But I'm also compluslively looking for other places to submit it, becuase damnit, it was a lot of work to get that thing up to date!

Re: since I sent off that resume, I'm compulsively checking my 'job hunt' e-mail

  • It's only tremendously obnoxious to keep clicking 'check for new mail' because I"m not sure I'd WANT this job.

But still nice t be wanted :)
  • You could post the address here and we'll give you some mail to check. :)

So what kind of stuff did you apply for?

I just a friendly gal looking for options.

  • for a museum job.
Competition for those is FIERCE.  I am, in my own humble opinion, pretty uniquely qualified for the job...and there are probably other qualified folks too.

But childrens museums = awesome.  This one in particular.

    We shall see.
I'll go through more zoo and aquarium listings tonight to see if there are other outreach positions.  I've already sifted through the sci. musum listings for this month and not found much else out there.

  • That would be fantastic.

  • "But childrens museums = awesome.  This one in particular."

The one down here by me??  'Cause it is an awesome Children's Museum.

  • yep, that one :)

I remember going there as a kid.

Honestly, people w/ a background in science, hands-on/informal/inquiry education experience, meusum experience, event-planning experience, knowledge of education standards in K-12, and able to say "oh yes, I've presented these sorts of programs for 1000's of kids" can't be TO common.

But the last time I said that, I never even got a call back.
(and the time before that...well, that landed mehere.  Which isn't all bad :)
