Wedding Woes

Movie review (for BUSY especially)

127 Hours - this is the true story of a hiker that got his arm stuck under a rock for 127 hours and ended up cutting off his arm with a dull knife in order to survive.   They show every little detail.   Him breaking his arm, cutting through muscles, ligaments, veins, etc.   Abso-f-ing-lutely disqusting and painful to watch, but you couldn't NOT watch.
It was a very good movie and the best thing James Franco has ever done.   (Which I know is not saying much, but he was really great.)

It's on the list to watch.

However, it took me three years to work up the nerve to see Hostel, so it might be awhille.

Busy- he does masterbate but they don't show his man parts.  I half expected them to.  They do show an up close shot of his tongue drinking his last bit of water which is sorta interesting.

DG1 - He doesn't come across as an a-hole in the movie - - just a little bit of a douche.

I had not read about the masturbation.  Seriously? That's what you think about just before you cut off your own arm with a dull knife?

    Men.  Seriously.

I will have to ask H about that part of the book...

They don't show that, so I can't be positive that he didn't.   And in fact, I would be surprised if he did not IRL.   He had to do whatever he could to stay alive.

Don't discount seeing this because of the gruesomeness.   It's really a well done movie.

He was trying to keep himself alive.   He was starting to lose his mind, he knew his body was shutting down, he was alone for 127 hours, he thought he was going to die...   I don't blame him.   He wanted his last moments alive to be enjoyable.
