Wedding Woes

baby is a.....

BOY!!!

DH and I both really thought we were having a girl, so we were totally surprised.  We had the u/s tech give us a card telling the sex and we opened it later, so we didn't see any indication our guesses were wrong during the scan.

The scan itself went well and everything looks good.   My hematoma isn't gone, but it had separated into two parts and the lower part has resolved, leaving the upper part completely sealed off for now...which is good.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

YAY for boys!!  Congrats!!  How exciting.

Does the hematoma present any risks for the rest of your pregnancy or during/after delivery?

No risk to the baby right now (it is in front/above the sac) since it is all old stuff and nothing active, but I will ask my doctor about L&D stuff and if it means anything will be done differently.  My only concern, which I doubt is very valid, would be that active labor could somehow make the bleed active again and result in extra blood loss for me, but since the remaining hematoma is not where the bleeding originated, I don't think that will happen.

We are working on it.  DH wants a jr, but I can't stand his middle name, and due to overuse of both his first and middle name on his side of the family, the kid would need to be called Trey or Trip (based on being a 3rd, I've already gotten blank stares while explaining that one) and neither of us are big fans of those.

I'll think we'll use DH's first name and then come up with a new middle name that the kid will go by.
