Yeah, that's a concern, too.  And 3 weeks?  Fck.

Ah, okay.  2 weeks would be stretching it, but 3 would be a problem.

DH had it done in HS and I think he said he was out for a week.  No more than 2.

That is going to be one long, tired week for you Min, but you know you are welcome any day at my house.

Bro had it - was out for about a week (but he's self employed and had to get back to work) - but he is one of those that the surgery has not helped.   He has talked me out of it.   (actually, watching him remove his "packing" in his nose along with big clots of blood is what chenaged my mind - - it was a nasty, nasty surgery and he did not heal well becuase he is a smoker.)

See, I'm on the 50/50 fence.  Why go through the trouble and expense (that will be hard to afford) for a maybe?  However, if most of my issues are being complicated by anatomical issues, how can I NOT have the surgery?  I'm not a smoker, but surgeon has already said recovery will not be easy since my immune system is shot.

Hiya!  I took 7 business days off but I should have taken 10.  I can tell you the first week sucked until they took all the packing out of my sinuses.  After that I was much better.  It's been a year and a half and I do not regret the surgery. I have less sinus infections and can breath better.  I give my surgery  a thumbs up.

What exactly do they remove during surgery?  Just curious.

Just tissue.  I'll have my deviated septum corrected, as well.  Basically, for me, they need to go in and open up the drainage passages that are malformed and blocked.

Man.  I had my adenoids out when I was young, I wonder if this helped me tremendously.

Nico, I am also better at bj's now that I can breath through my nose.  There's a bonus the doc won't tell you about.

Nico, my co-worker had the surgery.  They had thought she was developing asthma and she was one 2 different drugs, an inhaler and her Zyrtec.  She couldn't run b/c she was gasping for air.  She wasn't able to sleep at night b/c she couldn't lay down and breathe.

They sent her on to another specialist who told her she had deviated septum and some sinus problems.  They told her they would her septum and basically roto-rooter her sinues.  She didn't want to do it, but a couple of more weeks of sleepless nights and she decided to do it.  She took a week off after surgery.  She was not 100% the next week, but she was able to work, just kinda off.

She's 100% now and is totally 100% happy and back down to nothing but her daily Zyrtec and running and sleeping.
