I finally have a paralegal job! I start 2/24. Since I'm not particularly feeling this birthday (2/26 KuusandVarunamas), DH has suggested a "New Job NOT Birthday" party. I giggled, but am still not buying it.
DH's job matter is still up in the air. However, he brought in the only company in this city that does independent IT for hire for a quote. Long story short, negotiations are now opened into independent contracting for DH versus DH staying with company, b/c guess what? That sch!t is expensive! Close to what they pay DH AND would require numerous upgrades AND don't service the phone servers. I feel a bit of comeuppance about this and I'm enjoying it.
So, we went from probably one of our personal lowpoints last week (me in low paying sucky job and his job situation unstable and looking dreary) to a pretty great ending to this week. We needed it.
Also, I am not the weirdo doing the stuff. It felt weird to be in FB when I'm not "here" very much anymore, so I left. No drama and if I can be on the board at new job, I probably will be.
