Wedding Woes

Did I mention I made home-made peanut-butter again this weekend? zomgs, it is wonderful

I mostly made it for sis's birthday gift.

I even put it in a decorated jar (which I put in a gift-bag I made out of Buffy's finger paintings :-P).

It's so easy and so tasty.  I sat with a spoon and cleaned out the blender when we were done.
(buffy 'helped'.  and by 'helped' I mean she ate peanuts as fast as I shelled them, she screamed bloody murder every time I turned on the blender, and she refused to even consider eating the finished product)

I was just thinking that I wish I had a pancake and PB right now.  I tink I know what I'm having for dinner tonight--unless my dad already made us dinner, which he may ahve done.

  • Is it just peanuts + blender or is there another step or two?

The nuts have to be roasted--but if you buy roasted peanuts, that's basically it.

peanuts + sugar (you don't have to sweeten it but I do) + a tiny bit of oil (coconut oil is best tasting, IMO, but olive works fine)...put in blender (food processor apparently works better, but I don't own one) and let blend for a while.

(I added a tiny bit of vanilla this time--I think it makes it better)

No preservatives so it has to be kept in the fridge, and it does get kinda 'thick', but you can just warm it to make it spreadable.
