bridesmaid dress mishap

So in an effort to save my bridesmaids money, they ordered dresses from an online retailer.  Two of my girls' orders were messed up.  one of them received the wrong dress.  It's the right color, just not the style she wanted (strapless instead of halter).  My other bridesmaid didn't receive a dress at all.  The online store said they knew she was sent the wrong one, and intercepted her package.  My friend with the wrong style dress said she could make do an wear it, but now I have a naked bridesmaid!  The online store said they would re-order dresses, but they "probably" would come in 2 weeks before the wedding!  GRRRR.........my friend has been pretty aggressive about trying to get a dress from them sooner and to get a discount, but the store hasn't budged.  I dont' really know what else to do for them.  I didn't order from this place, so I don't have any of the info.  Anyone else in a similar boat?

One of my bridesmaids had the wrong dress come in and the replacement arrived 2 days before my wedding. Just make sure that if she's planning to have alterations done she lets the seamstress know now that she's going to be on a tight timeline.

As for the girl who got the wrong dress, I would ask them to replace hers as well. She paid good money for it and shouldn't have to make do.

If you're really nervous about cutting it too close, see if you can find a local boutique that carries the same dresses. They may be able to work something out for you.
