BR beebee whine

Every week, MIL lets me know that some friend or family member of hers wants to see Mr. Loverman.

He is not a doll to be shown off to every person they know and I'm tired of carting him over to their house once a week to meet the people.

I am putting DH in charge of this moving forward.

I pretty much never tired of hearing people coo over my babies, but I wouldn't drag them (and myself) around for it if I didn't want to.

Try "no" or "We'll be here all day Thursday. How about 11:00?"

    I agree with you all.

The problem with having my in-laws come to my house is that it's never a quick visit. It's a 3+ hour extended stay. It was easier for me to just swing by with the baby because at least then there was an end point.  It's just out of hand now.

We'll work it out. I'm just over it.
