Warning: if you have a Toshiba computer and an update pops us, don't do it.

My screen won't work now after the update.  I have to send it in to the manufacturer to be fixed.  At least it's still under warranty.

The pissface on the phone made sure I knew that I had the option to NOT perform the update.  I wished I could have bitchlsapped him through the phone.  It was a flarking update, not a virus.

So I'm really pissed off that I have to send my computer away for 2weeks.  And they're going to restore it back as if it just came from the factory, so I'll have to re-install everything again.

And I can't work on this schitty old computer we have because you can't run more than one program at a time.  So I'm basically SOL (and so are my payroll people and my old company).  This is just awesome.

I told DH to come home and take all these kids away from me so I can lay in the bathtub with a bottle of wine.

Um, why would they send out updates and expect people NOT to do them?  stupid customer service drone.  Sorry you're having such a crap day...hope DH comes through.

I had a Toshiba laptop several years ago and HATED it.  I really only worked  for about a year (just long enough to get past warranty) although it never worked well.  Then it just turned to complete crap.  I had done a lot of research and Toshibas were very highly rated at the time, too.  Maybe they don't have a good method for catching duds.

I just got a new dell laptop last month and already spent 3 hours the other googling errors and running command prompts....to discover that it was some factory installed online media storage program that had assigned itself to run my picture viewer.  Thankfully I could just unistall the program, because the thought of trying to work with Dell during the day around C's nap schedule was enough to make me cry or throw things.
