Wedding Woes

I didn't tell y'all.

I caught the bouquet at the wedding I went to last weekend. I'm not sure how because I avoid that thing like it's a flying bag of dog poop, but it did happen.

I cringe every time I hear those famous words, "All single ladies on the dance floor." Darn you Bey for making that song.

Anyway, I took my usual spot in the last row in the back. Darn it if the bride didn't chunk it all the way back. I just knew someone else would make a dive for it, but no, it made a beeline for my head. It bounced off my hand and landed by my feet. None of the other chicks made a move, so I bent down and picked it up.

You know the bride gave me a koolaid smile, and I took the pic that goes in the album.

1 down and 3 more weddings to go.

Pre-2008, when that announcement was made, MinM would inevitably head for the bar. I did not toss the bouquet at my wedding and EVERY SINGLE ONE of my single girl friends said thank you.

Tossing the bouquet sounds way more dirty than catching the bouquet.

Ha. Min, thank you. It's so not fun nor needed.

This wedding was dry, so no bar for me. I usually take one for the team, and the bride usually gives me that *please* look if I don't go up.

Please don't let me think about the time there were only 3 single chicks at a wedding I attended.

Dude. My Goddaughter (then 8) was BEGGING me to throw that bouquet from the minute I got back to the end of the aisle with it.

Thank god she caught it. IDK what she would ahve done if someone else had.  And no, we didn't have the groomsman put the garter on her 8yo self.

My (then 7yo) niece was all over mine and then she and my other nieces spent the rest of the reception breaking it up into tiny pieces and sprinkling it around the room.

I just a friendly gal looking for options.
