he called re: birthdays and these are the highlights (lowlights?) of what's up in crazyville:
-still having PT because of injuries. I"m still side-eying this. (I'm fairly sure they're just letting him coast until retirement to be rid of him. And I"m fairly sure they're screwing up his security clearance so he can't get a high paid job afterwards. but that's just me reading between the lines)
-He invested heavily in gold (actually didn't loose $) and now has decided that investing in gold but not 'owning' gold isn't good enough. with the coming snow-pocoypse or whatever, he's going to actually invest in gold coins so that he can buy things when MadMax happens.
-Apparently what's-his-head, the mormon conservitive talking head, told people recently toi stockpile food when it's on sale. See above-mentioned post-apocoyptic life. He and BeeBee bought 'buckets' of some sort of freeze-dried-food to keep handy for them and 'Justinian Maxamillion' (they've named their future progeny). He's annoyed that it's not tasty. DUde, it comes in a BUCKET.
-BeeBee is unemployed again because she quit...more or less due to depression. But, ya know, shrinks are only for people to weak to handle their stuff and she doesn't need meds but her (major) issues don't interfere with her life. *insert eyeroll here* (but if we don't specifically ask about BeeBee when we're on the phone, you'd never know that BIL was married...he just kinda is self-centered enough that he 'forgets' to mention what happens w/ his wife)
