I bought a bottle of reddish hair-dye ages ago...like before I got PG. then I didn't want to dye it while PG and I've been busy and I finally decided I MUST do it this weekend.
I vaselined my hair line and locked the pets out of the bathroom and mixed it up. I was doing quite well when I squeezed the squeezy bottle and felt a "whump" against my right eye area. Like I had blown the bottle of dye against my face there instead of an inch or 2 back against my hair/above my ear
I had flinched rather mightily--seeing as I have a phobia of things near my eyeballs. And it's good eye did.
That flinching moved everything enough so that the blurb of dye that whumped out when THE SIDE OF THE BOTTLE EXPLODED went into my eyebrow and my cheek and my face and my ear--but not my eyeball.
I rinsed, I got the Mr. to come in and help me (because I"m covered w/ hair dye and I'm trying not to blind myself...but I also don't want to just do nothing because that will end me up w/ 1/2 dyed hair).
I had a days worth of skin irritation (dyes tend to irritate my skin and that area = very sensitive) but, overall, I'm amazed at how well this worked considering I had 20 minutes of PANIC in the middle of it. and that I finished up the rest of the dye job w/o the squeezy-bottle. The bottle, when I examined it and poked at it, ripped into 2 pieces so I ended up scooping dye out w/ my goved fingers to glob onto the rest of my hair.
Loreal's websit says I should call.
I kinda fail to see the ponit, in the ensuing panic, all the stuff for the dye got thrown out because we were cleaning up kersploded dye that had managed to gt all over the place
