Wedding Woes

Things

1.  I love Chili Lime pistachios.  They make me happy.  NUTS.  Love 'em.

2.  Friend is such a hose beast.  She'll tell me about other friend and how she thinks "other friend" doesn't like her.  What?  No.  You're difficult, other friend says so.  Doesn't mean she doesn't "LIKE" you, it is what it is.  And if she had a problem with you?  She'd tell you.  Done.

3.  I actually got up this morning to work out.  First time since......November?  Yes.  I've been lazing away the early spring.

4.  S/O spring.  It will get up to a high of 20 today?  WTF is this crap?

    4. wtf indeed
  • It is SO COLD and windy today.  The morning errands were not fun.

Is your girls' weekend this weekend or did I miss a recap?  If it's coming up, I hope your friend doesn't put a damper on things.
  • I'm over this BS never-ending winter crap.

  • I didn't do a re-cap.  I could, I mean...it was pretty uneventful, just the same old fake-dramaness.

  • Spring has arrived and I loving it. i do feel for all the people with allergies, because it's been very windy and they are dying.

i miss the wasabi soy almonds. i keep forgetting to buy them.

i'm making butter chicken this afternoon, but i am using an alternate sauce that i never tried before. i hope i don't waste all of my chicken.

i actually thought it was a mild winter until this ridiculous string of late snow storms.
  • It's gonna be 80 here today. Love it!
  • I love pistachios, but the plain kind.  And I will not buy the black bag b/c they will just use the proceeds to pay horrible people like Donald Trump to do their commercials.  Call me DG.

Let me know how it turns out. If it is good can you share the recipe? What sauce do you regularly use? I love butter chicken.
  • I have never had this "butter chicken".  I feel like I'm the last kid on the playground.

cali - i really liked the one in a small brown box labled "kitchens of india".

it's a paste that you add butter, water, and i think one othere thing besides chicken. it was really good, but i cant find it again. we have a few of the same supermarkets here, but i dont think they all carry the same thing. this new sauce is called Tiger Tiger. it smells okay, but it smells more like a vodka sauce for pasta versus indian cooking sauce.

there are some things i don't feel like scratch cooking if i cont have to. this is an add chicken and serve, and it worked out well. i may just order from amazon.

oh it is SOOO good. i used to buy the whole paycheck frozen meals, and theirs was the best i ever had fo a pre packaged version of indian food. it was the next best thing to getting it from a legitimate indian restaurant.

now i have no indian places nearby that i know of (yet), so i have been trying different pastes to make the different foods i like. kitchens of india so far has been the best.
  • Feck this winter isht.  The only hope I have is this means the summer will be somewhat mild, instead of hotter than hades.

butter chicken update: Tiger Tiger butter chicken is not that good. it's very bland. i will probably give it to the kid later with some pasta because it's just a plain sauce, but it doesn't have a lot of flavor like it should. do not recommend.
  • It's only March. When does winter usually end for you people? We've still got two months of possible snowstorms, at least.

It snowed on April 23, 2005.  I'm over winter coats so I just stopped wearing mine.
  • Our final freeze averages April 6-9.  We're supposed to get snow on Thursday.

My bday is Feb 26 and it was pretty common to have snow and/or ice on the ground, but March is usually cold and rainy or cold and dry.  Snow this late is a bit uncommon.
  • Baconsmom-it's usually in the mid-high 40s by now.  I'm all *harrumph* about something I cannot change.

Oh, maybe that's why we don't mind - it was in the 70s last week. It'll be 30 on Saturday. It'll probably snow in April, but then it'll be nice again the next day, so we don't have to live with it for long. <div>
</div><div>We could actually use the moisture. We're nowhere near our snow totals for the season. </div>
