Hi Ladies,
My FI and I have been overshadowed over our entire engagement by one thing or another. A family blowout on my FI side only a month after our engagement. My FI didn't speak to that family for 6 months. My sis annouced her divorce 2 month after my proposal. My FI is in the Army and I miss him everyday I'm not with him. Among other issues, we have not had that romantic engagement period. Maybe I have the lucky friends who's weddings went off with no problems. I'm glad that we haven't been wrapped up in all the magic that a wedding can make and we have focused on the marriage. But damn man, could I get a little magic? Hint of sparkle?
Does everyone experience their engagement to be like this?
