What's a 'reaffirmation' ceremony?

Is that like a vowel renewal, but for some other commitment? 

 Like reaffirming your purity ring status or something?

Sounds like a reaffirmation of some sort of vow other than a wedding vow.  A vow to be celibate like DG said, or a vow to not drink or gamble or whatever.

I could also see a couple that "doesn't believe in marriage" doing something like this.  Reaffirming their commitment to each other.

Hmmm...I just had a client emailing about going to Vegas for a 'reaffirmation' ceremony.

It could be a reaffirmation of their vows.  Also, if they got married in a courthouse for some reason and then decided to still have a "ceremony" and reception, the ceremony would be a reaffirmation of the commitment they made to each other.  It could fall under a lot of categories.
