Wedding Woes

::yawn::

Someone else is more than welcome to live in my head this week.  I don't do patience or stress or indecision well at all.  I had a lovely nightmare around 4am and woke with such a start that I freaked DH out.

We were both comparing dreams this morning.  He's having a touch of the crazy too.  At least we're not alone; we're in this together.  ;)

DefConn is also not having fun with all this change.  He had about 5 fits last night and it took him a good half hour to eat his dinner because he picked at it for at least 20 min before deciding he should eat.  I think he loved having DH home the most.  He and daddy had a lot of one on one time.

I'm almost done with my second cup of coffee and considering a third.  M2 woke at 1230 and 1.   Max  had a rare 3am feeding.  Before 6 am M2 had a meltdown over a shirt, 6let had one over milk, and Max woke up.

I don't like the snow on the ground either.  The weekend weather was a tease.

And Best Buy is lame.  We took the old laptop to the Geek Squad for repair.  I got an email to call an 800# (24/7) so they could proceed.  First time I call I can't hear the person at all.  I hang up and go back through the lame phone tree only to be told to call the store.  WTF?
  • I went out with H and his coworkers for his last day.  Got home at 1:00, fell asleep at 3:15 up at 6:25.  *zzzz*  This will be horrible, but I'm determined to show my mettle.

  • I'm having the crappiest week ever so far.

6, if you don't have a warranty, you would be better off trying to find a local business that repairs computers.  Geek Squad is a rip off with their prices. IDK about other locations, but the one here also does poor work.  DH has fixed many Geek Squad "repairs" after the fact.  The most common "error" seems to be charging for the ad/spyware blockers and then forgetting to put it actually on the dang computer.
  • I'm with V, they're laughable with their prices.  But hey, if they're your only option...eeps.

  • I've spent the last two days fighting with insurance. I'm so engrossed in it I had dreams of being on hold for hours to get 1 question answered.

On the other hand, DD went to bed without a fight, didn't wake when I hooked her up to her pump and slept soundly all night. She also didn't have a screaming fit when I changed the dressing on her incision or when i flushed her tube this morning.
  • Dixie, I'm glad DD seems to be doing well.

I'm having a schit morning.  Woke up late, missed my train, feel like ass.  I want the first tri over with so badly.

  • First tri blows, no doubt. Hopefully the next few weeks will blow by for you.
  • Eh, it's Wednesday. Work is being...interesting. Also, I found out what caused a tremendous snarl on the interstate yesterday that made me late for work. Some poor soul proceeded to attempt suicide by jumping into the middle of the interstate with both arms up waiting for a car to hit him. One did not me. Severely injured and sent to the hospital. This gave me a profound sad. No clue who dude is, but I hope he gets the help and love he needs.

  • I feel like I've accomplished a lot over Spring Break. Cleaned out closets, drawers, booked the place for my party, emptied out the dvr.

I think I'm running out of stuff to do......

Dixie, glad that DD is adjusting and sleeping better.

  • NOLA, want to come over and do all of that at my house? I offer home cooking, snuggly cat, and adorable toddler.
  • Ha. I've been known to work for less.:)

Ditto on Geek Squad. Find a local place. And really, even then, it might be cheaper to buy a new laptop.

It's already at Geek Squad.  A new laptop won't have pictures on it.

  • Today isn't a good day for anyone is it? Housekeeper comes today so last night we start picking up and DH says " there isn't much left, we'll do it in the morning". So I get up and he strikes a bargain, I clean and he gets DS ready, drops him off, etc. Except DH is so freaking slow, that it takes him over a hour to get DS dressed and ready, as well as himself. Dude. I'm cleaning and its never ending- like the clutter is just multiplying some how. Also, I'm in the whole two week wait and it's killing me. I just want to know.

I had all but 3 months of pics backed up.  It just happened to be the time frame of M2's first bday.  The power source is shot.  Original estimate was $100.  We thought we'd get pics back and then essentially have a DVD player.  New estimate was $600 because it's part of the motherboard!  They said they should still be able to transfer data to an external hard drive, which we were going to get anyway.

PMEG- I missed the two week wait part.  Good luck!

  • $600?!  That's straight up highway robbery.

You know what?  You ship it to us, DH will fix it for you and with insurance and specialty shipipng, it'd still be cheaper than that.

Gah!  I hate that you don't have other options.

This.  Andplusalso, can't Mr. 6 bring it to work with him?  It could be a 'project' for an IT class.  ;)
