Orkin man is here, happy vacation to me.

so i saw another mouse.  and that was it.  i called the orkin man.  mr. kat and i are not the types to go trapsing around the attic or god forbid the crawl space looking for mouse droppings. 

i'm more than happy shelling out the extra cash to let a professional take care of it. 

so far it looks good.  he hasn't seen any sign of mice in the living space, but i know they are in the vents.  it's only a matter of time, right. 

the good news is, i'm on VACATION for the next 8 days!  WOOT!  got lots of plans for cleaning out the office so it's functional for when ma and pa Kat come help with the new baby.  will be prepping miles's room for painting, and may even paint part of my dinning area. 

there will also be copious amounts of knitting, reading, and taking miles to the water park.

ya for mouse massacre!  i know people think they are cute and keep them as pets, but clearly those people have never heard of the plague.

and i am excited that you are going to get your knit on.  i am still considering knitting classes as my graduation present.

ossum.  the mouse issue was fairly minor.  he didn't see any inside, but saw a few droppings near a vent under the house.  the cuteness factor is very much overshaddowed by the pague.  i can sleep easy at night now, and won't strain to hear scratching in the walls.

and now...VACAY!!  if only i could have a maitai.

Yay for vacation!!!!!

Mice suck.  We had an infestation right after 6let.  The cat killed one and left it in the basement bathtub (that never gets used).  I'm upstairs with a newborn and DH calls upstairs to "let the cat out."  Cat comes running up with a live mouse still in her mouth.  No DH follows.  WTF?  Next time I'm nursing when a mouse came running across the floor.  Bleeeeech.  This lasted less than a week, but eeeeewwwwwwww.
