Wedding Woes

Now help me!

We're going to get the big suitcase out for me to pack to be with my mom.

Help me remember all of things I am going to need. What am I forgetting?

I have my new, glorious phone, from which I can watch all sorts of TV.

I have eight books.

Of course I'll bring a towel and blanket from home.

I'll have my reusable water glass, so I won't have to buy a frillion bottles of water.

Some snack...like crackers and nuts.

A notebook to track her meds and when she is taking stuff (my new BFF reminded me of this).

I'll be bringing thicker socks, since I tend to run cold and hospitals are usually cold.

I was going to say a sweater and chapstick and lotion.  I'd attach a pen to the notebook too.

nab an extra comforter with the pillow(s) from your mom's house to sleep on top of - you may need some extra cushioning. DK says the hospital "guest bed" wasn't too comfortable. Check with the hospital on food policies. if you don't want to be paying to eat out every day or paying for hospital food, they may let you bring in some lean cuisine/yogurts,etc. and stick them in their fridge.

also check with the hospital if they have DVD players in the rooms - you might want to take some movies that both of you can watch.

Earplugs... even if you have your own room, nurses (and doctors) just seem to love gossiping outside your room at midnight (mine did anyway) and some snacks, again when I was in hospital, sometime the only thing I would want to eat would be the fruit part of my meal (if you feel a little bit sick, mutton stew is not what you want for dinner)
