Wedding Woes

Oh! Something else.

So, I got my hair done yesterday, and my stylist is getting married in two weeks. She is 23 and over the last few months since she started doing my hair and learned what I do for a living, I get at least one women's health related question while she foils my hair.

Yesterday, she was telling me how she is never late, but was currently 5 days late getting her period. She quit her birth control at the beginning of the year, despite me recommending she didn't, but whatever. She decided pull and pray would be fine.

She asked me what I thought. I had forgotten my crystal ball at home, so I told her to POAS in 2 more days if nothing showed. Given the look on her face, I don't think that's what she wanted to hear.

That reminds me, my brother called me at the crack of dawn thismorning to ask about casting on a Discovery show. Dude, I don't even work there anymore.

I don't mind some questions, I think what bugs me the most is at 23, she hasn't learned to use her adult words yet.

"Well, you know, we *hmmhmm* on the 8th and he you know, but not in. And so the next time we *hurumph* he didn't you know...end."

<div>I told her. She decided that if she has no period by next week she will start her BCP's again. I told her no hanky panky and be damn sure she isn't gestating.</div><div>
</div><div>This is the same girl who wanted her 27 yo fiance to have a sperm count done to make sure "they swim right." When she doesn't want kids for 2 years.</div>

I'm 23, and a medical assisstant and wondering what does someone who stops birth control expect? just because you don't WANT to get pregnant, mother nature will take it's course and if you are not using anything, you will end up pregnant. Jeez....common sense....and middle school with sex ed.
