A couple of weeks ago I spoke at the local organ procurement organization (OPO). I spoke to the staff about what it's like to wait for a transplant.
I was contacted by their communications manager and asked if he could use part of what I wrote in their holiday newsletter/fundraising letter. I said yes.
He called me just now to thank me and reiterate how what I said impacted him and the rest of his co-workers.
I'm in shock at the moment.
