Glasses

What was that website that some of you were talking about for cheap prescription glasses?

TIA!

Nola's was eyefly.com. I used zennioptical.com. Thinking about using them again, actually.

  • Thanks - so, how does this work exactly?   What if you get them and the fit is terrible?

I'd have to read up on returns. I guess I just figured "meh, if they don't fit, I'm not out much money." I think mine were $50, and I probably got the most expensive frames and almost all of the options (anti-glare, etc.).

And really, I figured I could always just use them in my house if they ended up fug.

But you can upload a picture of yourself and "try them on." Not perfect, of course, but it helps some. It may also help to go to a physical place (walmart, pearle vision, whatever) and try some on. Then get the specs for those (height of the frame in mm, width of the frame in mm, at least). Pay attention to the characteristics of the styles you like - darker frames or lighter ones, rimless, half-rim, whatever, whether the sides are open or closed, whether you like the cat-eye or round or more rectangle, whether there is a dip in the middle or it's more straight across the top. Then it'll be easier for you to find a frame that will look pretty close to what you tried on in the store.
