in Wedding Woes
We took DD for her first skating lesson Friday night and she LOVED it.   One time when she came off the ice she said "I want to be a hockey player when I grow up!"    One of the coaches said that she has great balance, which is rare for a 3 year old on the ice.   So we signed her up for lessons for the next 8 weeks through our city's rec dept. 
So we may have a future Red Wing or Penguin on our hands.   Hopefully not a Blue Jacket, though.   :)

    pretty awesome. i'd love if wolverine played, but hockey is hard to come by in TX. They play at the malls down here because that's where the skating rinks are.

    based on our playground experience this weekend, i have a feeling we have an extreme athlete on our hands. the kid is fearless.

    They sure do.   Ugh.   I was always a Red Wings fan until Columbus got out own team, and then I felt like I had to be a CBJ fan.   But then I met my husband, who is a Red Wing fan and I've kind of switched back because DH AND the CBJ's made it real hard to be a CBJ fan.
    We went to a game last week when they were playing the Red WIngs and probably 70% of the crowd was Red Wing fans.   
    It's pathetic.

    That's awesome!  DH's step niece is on a hockey scholarship at a swanky boarding school and is getting a full ride to a college in Michigan.

    Atlanta was like that before they lost the Thrashers - we went down for a Pens game, and it was probably 75-80% Pens fans. We're trying to eventually make it to all of the arenas for a game - Dallas will be next because of proximity.

    Unfortunately DK is a Flyers fan, but I love him anyways. We would always go to the Pens/Flyers games when we lived in Philly, and I would get hassled for the whole game for wearing Pens gear. Philly fans are assholes.
