Since it's slow, and for mrs.conn since she likes my trickle of crazy...

...I rehashed some Kuus upbringing history on Relationships in the "Thoughts on this" thread.

I saw that and I think it is incredibly ironic that you were born to parents who aren't judgy.

I think maybe I just developed my love of judging very young from being around them.

I had the same reaction as Hugh Laurie there.

Jeez Louise. I always wonder how people with such fcked up families can turn out relatively normal.

Oh, and also: what is it with people who have no boundaries at all?! This is why everyone thinks alternative relationships are bad for children, because the only ones anyone hears about are from people who can't shut their freaking mouths. Why on earth would you ever use your child as an excuse for sex? That's just so - I - I'm speechless. Damn.

I think my parents honestly believe that they kept everything super secret.  I'm sure that their methods would have worked fine, too, if I had the IQ of a house brick.

MIL didn't even try. She moved her side piece into the damn house when H was in high school and told him it was because of her hysterectomy and the hormones she had to take now.

You have no idea how much this explained to me when he finally unloaded the whole story.

i am now way more appreciative that my role in my parents' dinner parties was relegated to plate filler and dish cleaner and not junk drawer minder.

Now you know my mouth is open over here. How long did you have to keep going over to her house?

Only eight years, Nola.  When I turned 18, I said no more.  But it wasn't even QUITE that long; in my teens, I moved in with my best friend's family for a few months at a time here and there.

    That's horrible.

I can't believe that they are still married, I can, but why?

    Holy hell Kuus!

I'm also still trying to wrap my head around jinglebells rule that they "take a break when they are TTC/getting ready for a baby."  So do they have relationships while she's pg?  Cause that's pretty icky.

They probably take a break so they know for sure who the father is, not that they aren't already candidates for Maury.
