Wedding Woes

Opinions

At almost 6 months pregnant, is it still ok for me to wear a two-peice bathing suit?

We were just asked by some friends to join them this weekend at a resort about an hour north of where we live.

I personally think it's fine and I'll feel comfortable, but I don't want anyone to be put off by it. I'm not talking about our friends, but the wife's parents will be there, and I know her mom is a bit old school on some things.

WDYT?

Wear what you want. Take it from me: If you dress yourself worrying about who might be offended, you'll end up never leaving the house.

I think it's perfectly fine, assuming of course that you're okay with it. Plenty of celebrities do it and I base most of my life decisions on things like that :)

i agree with baconsmom.  umm, they know you're pregnant and wearing a one piece bathing suit is not going to be particularly different.

dh and i went to the beach last month and i didn't bother buying a maternity suit because my old suit fit me just fine.  i checked the newspapers when we got back; i was not in the police blotter.

No stretch marks or scars to speak of. Just a buddha belly.

Of course I've seen it before. And it personally doesn't bother me.

But it might bother *some*, especially when I know that they're a bit more on the traditional side.

My only suggestion is this: if your hooters have grown, get a new top to accomodate. I saw some pregnant women in two pieces when I was knocked up lounging at a pool at a local resort who clearly had not bought tops to accomodate their racks.

Meh....I'd file this under, you can please all of the people all of the time. Dress in a manner in which you are comfortable.

I would love to see cute preggos in 2-pieces.  As long as you're free of the stretch marks, go for it.

But really double up on the sunblock.  That super-stretched-out skin is sensitive, and a burn would be quite miserable.
